Height Safety for the Workplace

GlideLoc Vertical GuideRail is the perfect solution when there is a fall risk on an existing fixed ladder. People think that the hoops of an existing ladder offer fall protection while climbing, but this is wrong! Tests carried out by the HSE show that hoops do not offer fall protection and in some cases cause more injury in the event of a fall from height.

The GuideRail provides fall protection while climbing vertical ladders that is easy to use, requires minimal maintenance and provides superior height safety.

 How it works

The GlideLoc Rail uses a shock absorbing travelling device called the “Body Control I” it runs along the track and provides the link between the user’s harness and the system. In the event of a fall the Traveller physically locks onto the track preventing further decent and minimising injury.

As the locking of the Traveller does not rely on friction, as is the case with some rail and cable systems, the user is given complete confidence and wear of the track is minimal.

In most instances the user can self-rescue simply by releasing the Traveller with a slight upward pull as they climb.

 Rail Positioning

Fall Arrest Guide Rail positioned Centrally fixed to the existing rungs of ladder

Fall Arrest Guide Rail positioned to the left side fixed to the existing rungs of ladder

Fall Arrest Guide Rail positioned to the side fixed to the existing side stringers/stiles of ladder

 MULTIPLE BENEFITS

Easy to Use
Smooth operation when ascending or descending any existing ladder
Continuous connection whilst climbing
Short fall distance (Max 300mm)
Self-rescue possible
Holds the user close to the ladder giving them total confidence while climbing.

 GlideLoc Top Extension

This allows the user to be stood on the top rung of the ladder while still being connected to the fall arrest rail. This also includes an EN 795 tested eyebolt to allow the user continuous connection.

 Ho-Ver Turn Table

Allowing continuous connection for vertical to horizontal.

 Twisted Change-over Rail

Like the 1m top extension but instead of extending vertically the fall arrest rail bends on to the roof top. As the user steps on to the roof his Traveller follows the Guide Rail, resulting in continuous connection until the user is a safe distance away from the fall risk.
